“Why’d You Have To Act Like That Though” – Inner Wave

“Why’d You Have To Act Like That Though” is the first single from L.A.-based Inner Wave’s upcoming EP, wya. The project follows the success of the indie psychedelic rock band’s 2018 LP, Underwater +.  Blending synth-wave with R&B beats, the track exemplifies the unique, oldies-inspired sound the Latinx psych band has thrived in. It’s a sound they’ve been developing for over ten years, originating in lead singer Pablo Sotelo’s garage in Inglewood. The quintet has come a long way since then, releasing a few LPs along the way and growing a dedicated following, all while staying true to their roots. With their newest track and upcoming project, it’s obvious Inner Wave has made a name for itself and the Latinx community within indie rock.
