LIVE Generational Alt Rock in Laguna Beach
On Wednesday, May 6 at 9pm, KX FM 104.7 will present Cayucas and Early Dolphin at The Marine Room in Laguna Beach! Your $5 donation at the door will benefit our non-profit, grassroots station. Santa Monica natives / twin brothers Zach (guitar, vocals) and Ben Yudin (bass guitar) are Cayucas, an indie pop group set to take the scene by storm. The group name is a reference to Cayucos, a sleepy beach town in San Luis Obispo County that speaks to their ‘60’s-inspired sound, drawing comparisons to Vampire Weekend and Foxygen. The brothers signed to indie record label Secretly Canadian in 2012 and subsequently released their debut album, Bigfoot, in April 2013
Leading up to Cayucas will be Early Dolphin, Orange County electric blues, psych and indie folk trio warming up the stage. Early Dolphin was founded in 2000 and has been performing locally since. The trio is made up of vocalist and guitarist Clay, drummer Matt and bassist Vince. They are currently releasing songs under Burger Records.
