Human Rights Activists, journalists, lawyers, and politicians across the world have been targeted by authoritarian governments using hacking software sold by Israeli surveillance company, NSO Group. Among the 50,000 known hacked and spied on victims, is Carine Kanimba, daughter of Rwandan hero, kidnap victim, and hostage of the repressive Rwandan government, Paul Rusesabagina. We examine her specific story, and what the leaked forensic analysis shows, including the Saudi use of this spyware to target the phones of close allies to murdered Washington post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.
