Laguna was treated to live Hawaiian music, kanikapila style, in the Pearl Street Studios featuring The Kukui Nuts Band. The “Laguna Tropical Surf” variety show presented an hour of mele’s played by ukulele player-singers Lloyd Calloway Lono and John Lincoln, the bass and vocals of Loretta Lottie Lee, Don Balser’s conga rhythm, and the award winning Hawaiian slide steel guitar of Kay Das.
