A new chapter for surf culture in Laguna Beach. 🌊 A new chapter for surf culture in Laguna Beach. 🌊

The Surfing Heritage & Culture Center (SHACC) has officially opened its new home, bringing decades of surf history, art, stories, and culture together under one roof.

KXFM was out front helping celebrate the opening weekend with music, community, and plenty of stoke as people came out to experience the new space for the first time.

A pretty special weekend for Laguna — and for the culture that has been part of this community for generations. Can’t wait to see all the good vibes you guys bring to this town @surfingheritage

Last week, KXFM brought the community together for Last week, KXFM brought the community together for our Candidate Good Luck Potluck & 2026 City Council and School Board Forum.

Over a shared meal, neighbors, candidates, and members of our community came together for an evening of conversation about the future of Laguna Beach.

The forum gave local candidates the opportunity to speak directly with the community and address questions about the issues facing our city and schools — all in the same room, with an open conversation at the center of it.

A big thank you to everyone who brought a dish, showed up, asked questions, listened, and helped make the night what it was.

KXFM is proud to create space for conversations that matter to our community.

A conversation by artists, for artists, about arti A conversation by artists, for artists, about artists.

Art Matters brought Elizabeth Turk, Casey Parlette, and Jorg Dubin together for an evening exploring the power of environmental art, public art, art and nature, community land trusts, and the role creativity plays in shaping a community.

Our evening also featured the world premiere of Globalschism, a documentary about Jorg Dubin’s massive installation at the Salton Sea, as well as select films featuring the work of both Elizabeth Turk and Casey Parlette.

From the conversation on stage to the people gathered in the theater, it was a night of ideas, connection, and celebration of Laguna’s creative community.

A night from KXFM, Laguna’s amplifier of arts & culture.
