Island Apollo Live Music

///ISLAND APOLLO
The band draws on a wide range of influences, citing acts from Arcade Fire, Billy Joel, Foster the People, Michael Jackson, The Killers, The Beach Boys, Weezer, Queen, and so much more. “I think if you want to find success as a band, you can blend in with a genre that is on the rise and have a nice record deal, followers, and radio play for a few years. But if you want to have a career, and real fans, you need to create something that is new. The bands I respect the most, and seem to have survived, are those that have created a sound that was different than the bulk of the music being produced at that time” says lead vocalist and guitarist Ryan Kilpatrick.

Verdell New Music

///VERDELL
Verdell, formed in 2011, is an alluring, next generation rock band from San Clemente, Ca. Their edgy rock sound, driven by founder Madi Vogt on drums, is a tight mix of original material written by the band, with strongly punctuated riffs built around the fluid guitar style of Rafi Caro on lead guitar.
Logan McGarry, lead vocalist and guitarist, projects an intense vocal style that carries the angst and power of the song lyrics. Using mixed meter rhythms, driving guitar, along with Lucas Tomlinson’s bass patterns that accentuate the power of their songs, and CJ’s perfectly blended back up vocals and synthesizer/keyboards, their sound carries an urgency and passion that keeps the fans engaged through the band’s musical journeys.
While both Logan and Rafi are virtuosic lead guitarists, when the songs break into guitar solos it is a climactic release of the fever pitch the piece has reached, not a showcase for one instrumentalist.
With some of Southern California’s hottest music venues under their belt, such as The Whisky a Go Go, The Roxy, The Troubadour, and The Coach House, where they have headlined and opened for national acts such as: Berlin, Missing Persons, dada and Michael Schenker, Verdell is ready to bring their sound to a broader audience.
With a highly developed musical footprint already, it is exciting to anticipate where this talented group of musicians will take their sound in the near future and beyond.
