5) Gelato Paradiso (448 S Coast Hwy, between Nick’s & Tortilla Republic)
This place makes their waffle cones fresh every day. The smell alone proves that their ice cream and gelato is worth the out-the-door lines at peak snack time.
4) Active Culture (1006 S Coast Hwy)
Frozen yogurt with an assortment of toppings, smoothies & shakes. Lynda recommends the Date, Moonlight Mint & Naked Coconut shakes.
3) Husky Boy (802 N Pacific Coast Hwy)
This North Laguna institution’s cold treats feature banana splits, ice cream sundaes, fruit smoothies, root beer freeze/float & icy lattes.
2) Ruby’s Diner(30622 E Pacific Coast Hwy)
A full ice cream bar, double hot fudge brownie sundaes and, of course, shakes/malts.
Lynda’s recommendation: Oreo shake
Tyler’s recommendation: Vanilla malt
1) Chantilly Ice Cream (202 Park Ave)
Cross over PCH from Main Beach for chocolate-covered frozen bananas with sprinkles, a ton of ice cream flavor choices, and much more!
