An in depth conversation with a public servant to Laguna Beach residents for over 25 years, and now, our Police Chief. We discuss his first interest in law enforcement, and the fire that was ignited by his first “ride-along”. The Chief discusses what’s changed the most in the 25 years in town, not just in the crimes we see, but in the officers tasked to respond to them. The Chief discusses the Community Outreach program, and possibly adding additional mental health professionals as part of that unit.
