The Festival Guy

Q Brickell, “The Festival Guy”, has worked with almost every major music festival across America: Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Electric Daisy Carnival, Lockn, Forecastle, and more than a dozen others. These festivals provide a deep global musical perspective. They feature the most popular artists as well as the obscure. The common denominator across all artists and formats at these festivals, though, is their relevance. After all this is what attracts hundreds of thousands of fans to these events. This same relevance is also why people listen to the radio.

KX93.5 in Laguna Beach is the only place on the airwaves where OC listeners can hear free-form programming. Songs aren’t played because of research or nationally programed playlists. The station fills the need for people to discover excellent new music, and Q Brickell delivers that need. Straight from festivals across the country back to the listeners in Laguna.

Listeners can expect to hear everything worthwhile: ranging from classic rock, jazz, bluegrass, electronica, alternative, hip-hop, blues, R&B, garage, soul, and many unexpected songs blending genre.

Q is a founder of Harmonium, an organization that provides clean and sober environments at major music festivals nationwide. Q also works with the Grammy’s non-profit called MusiCares, helping to handle the backstage environments for artists and crews.

Tune in for “The Festival Guy” on Wednesday nights at 7pm on Laguna’s only FM: KX FM 104.7!
