Mayor Sue Kempf 2-3-22

Mayor Kempf tackles questions arising from the proclamation of Ethnic Diversity Month, and by proclaiming it in February specifically, the perceived watering down of Black History Month. She also discusses the upcoming committee selections and appointments, and whether those appointed will be asked to complete State mandated ethics training. She also give us an update on artist Allyson Allen’s “Piece-ful Protest” exhibit, and where it might find a home for Black History Month. Those items, plus an examination of what the City Council might do regarding the recent ballot initiative proposal, and the upcoming conversation (Feb 10) with the Coastal Commission on historic preservation.
