Scott Patterson – R2RR Ep.28

From touring the world with LA Guns and Ugly Kid Joe to running stages for Kiss, Sugar Ray and the Scorpions, Tour Manager and Cancer survivor Scott Patterson joins Wes Geer to share his story of alcohol and drug addiction.  From growing up in a privileged but violent household, Scott talks openly about shame and resentment and behavioral issues that played into his disease.  After 7 years sober he slipped for one day and re-entered a program until 18 months later he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  That slip saved his life when his new commitment to sobriety helped carry him through the fight for his life.  After Camp Freddy (Dave Navarro, Matt Sorum, Billy Morrison, Donovan Leitch, Chris Chaney) held a benefit concert for him and set an example of sobriety, integrity and honesty, his gratitude and humility has carried him into his 17th year sober.
